Tanadui Festival Stay
We offer the “Tanadui Festival Stay,” an immersive experience in a festival with a history of about 600 years.
With Hikaisun as your guide, enjoy the “Garden Performances” and “Stage Performances” even more. The tour includes a Hoshinoya Taketomi Island original bento and a performance guide booklet.
At Hoshinoya Taketomi Island, we grow traditional crops like millet and medicinal herbs. During the Tanadui Festival, the key ritual, Taniurushi (“Seed-Planting Ritual”), is held in our fields to pray for healthy seeds.
From evening to night, participants join a ritual, visiting village houses while singing and praying for a bountiful harvest. Each home offers sacred sake and traditional dishes, and joining the islanders gives a true sense of community.
