Snow Country "Gangi" Lantern Light

The "Snow Country Gangi Lanterns" event will be held from December 20, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

Illumination of the Gangi

This winter, the Gangi corridor at KAI Alps will be bathed in warm light, transforming into a mystical gallery of illumination. The falling snow, glowing softly in the gentle radiance, colors the nostalgic snow country night with quiet elegance. Please enjoy the exquisite Japanese winter scenery created by the fresh snow piling atop the Gangi eaves.

"Kamakura" Snow Lanterns

Set against the backdrop of the Gangi corridor, we have prepared a special experience unique to snow country. In our "Kamakura Snow Lantern" activity, you can craft your own miniature snow huts and illuminate them with candlelight, further enhancing the mystical atmosphere of snow and light. Please enjoy a heartwarming night in this winter wonderland.

Beyond the lantern-lit Gangi corridor, a cozy space centered around a warm Irori (sunken hearth) awaits. Here, you can savor Shinshu rice cakes grilled over charcoal and seasoned with local Shinshu miso or walnut miso. While warming yourself with "Nagiso Neko"—a traditional padded vest from the local Nagiso region—take a moment to connect with the timeless lifestyle of the snow country. With a glass of warm sake in hand, enjoy a special time that warms both body and soul.
