Special Dinner:Summer-Autumn

“Kuwayaki” gets its name from the story that the dish’s origins come from using farming hoe (kuwa) to prepare the dish. Here, KAI Alps presents it in our very own kaiseki rendition.

Breakfast

Hours
7:30AM~9:30AM

KAI serves breakfast made with ingredients that let you taste the flavor of the region and the local cooking techniques. As Omachi was one of the station towns located on the historic “Salt Road” trade route connecting the Sea of Japan to the inland, breakfast includes ingredients from both the sea and the land. A rich, mushroom-based miso soup is paired with “Shiomaru Squid”, a special squid dish invented in order to preserve the seafood as it was taken to the inland.
