To express our heartfelt gratitude from all of us for your continued patronage, we will be hosting a closing event to mark the finale of KAI Aso. For this event, we will specially revive experiences and dishes previously offered at KAI Aso. We invite you to reflect on our 15-year journey alongside the grand nature of Aso and enjoy the "distinctively KAI Aso" experiences to your heart's content.

The guest rooms and open-air baths are where our guests have spent their longest and most memorable moments. They represent the true essence of the "secluded retreat" experience at KAI Aso—places filled with countless memories.
To ensure that your final moments in this special place remain deeply etched in your heart, we have prepared limited-time room arrangements and amenities for your stay.
Revival of the "Sparkling Herb Beauty Stay"
The Kuju region of Oita Prefecture, home to Aso, is one of Japan's leading areas for natural sparkling water springs. From June to August 2018, KAI Aso offered the "Sparkling Herb Beauty Stay," allowing guests to enjoy these effervescent springs not only for drinking but also for bathing.
We are proud to revive this experience through our "Yugomori (Hot Spring Retreat) Arrangements." Please enjoy a moment of rejuvenation for both body and mind while feeling the blessings of the water that KAI Aso has long cherished.

In our dining hall, which overlooks the majestic scenery of Aso, many guests have enjoyed our kaiseki cuisine and shared cherished moments together.
For dinner, we will serve a full kaiseki course featuring "Tomato Sukiyaki," which has been beloved for many years as KAI Aso's signature dish.
Revival of the "Aso Tomato Stay"
The area where KAI Aso is located is said to be ideal for tomato cultivation due to the significant temperature difference between day and night. Inspired by this, we held the "Aso Tomato Stay" in 2017&2023—a blissful experience to heal the mind and body with hot springs and tomatoes.From the Tomato Sukiyaki at dinner to the "Tomato Amazake" (sweet sake) in the morning, guests enjoyed a variety of colorful and aesthetically pleasing menus, discovering the unique textures and flavors.
Looking back on this history, we will revive drinks previously offered during past Tomato Stays as part of our dinner drink menu. We invite you to touch upon the memories woven by KAI Aso through all five senses.

The gentle fire in the lobby fireplace is another symbol that has watched over the history of KAI Aso. Around this hearth, many guests have enjoyed the long evening hours.
On the nights of our closing event, our staff will gather by this fire to share stories of the history KAI Aso has traveled and the many narratives that were born here.
Revival of the "Ultimate Roasted Sweet Potato"
During the first few years of our operation as KAI, we served the "Ultimate Roasted Sweet Potato," which was slowly stone-roasted for several hours in a terrace oven after dinner.
At the Tomoshibi Bar, we are proud to specially revive this "Ultimate Roasted Sweet Potato." We invite you to savor this nostalgic flavor from the very beginning of KAI Aso's history.
Tracing the Trajectory of KAI Aso
On your final night at KAI Aso, our staff will share the history and stories of our journey while you enjoy local drinks and snacks. For this special evening, our team has curated a "Trajectory of KAI Aso" timeline.
We will complete this timeline by adding photos and messages from our guests, making it a true testament to the "History of KAI Aso woven together with all of you."

Situated at an altitude of 1,050m, KAI Aso's scenic terrace has witnessed countless beginnings of the day. Bask in the gentle morning sunlight of the highlands while gazing at the majestic Aso Five Peaks stretching before you, and at times, the mystical sea of clouds unfolding below.
Please spend a tranquil morning accompanied by the breathtaking views that only KAI Aso can offer.
KAI Aso Original Excercise
Caldera Excercise, KAI Aso's original exercise program held every morning. Through deep breathing, you can take fresh air into your body and start your day feeling the energy of the earth.
Revival of the "Aso Milk Stay"
The highland area surrounding KAI Aso is a fertile land where many cattle, including brown Jersey cows, graze freely. In honor of this, we previously offered the "Aso Milk Stay," incorporating the blessings of local milk throughout the guest experience.
During the morning hours, we will host a "Milk Tasting" reminiscent of that program. After waking up refreshed from the Caldera Gymnastics, we invite you to compare several types of milk and enjoy the unique differences in aroma, sweetness, and color.
