Regular Itinerary

8:50 AM: Meet at Keiryu-BASE

9:00 AM: Depart from the hotel by shuttle bus

10:10 AM: Arrive at Hakkoda Ropeway, meet with the guide

10:30 AM: Tour begins

1:00 PM: Tour ends, followed by free time (lunch)

1:50 PM: Depart from Hakkoda Ropeway Sanroku (base) Station

3:00 PM: Arrive at the hotel

Course B: During Ropeway Suspension or Chinese New Year

8:50 AM: Meet at the Keiryu-BASE counter

9:00 AM: Depart from the hotel by shuttle bus

10:10 AM: Arrive at Hakkoda Ropeway, meet with the guide

10:30 AM: Tour begins, use the ski lifts for a surrounding area stroll

1:00 PM: Tour ends, followed by free time (lunch)

1:50 PM: Depart from Hakkoda Ropeway

3:00 PM: Arrive at the hotel

To ensure your safety and comfort during the activity, please be sure to read the following before making a reservation.

1. Tour Participation Conditions and Payment

・For your safety, participants must be at least 13 years old and have a shoe size of 22 cm or larger. We strictly prohibit anyone who exceeds the capacity or does not meet these conditions from participating.

・Tours are on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once full. We recommend booking early if you wish to participate.

・Payment is accepted at the Keiryu-BASE counter. You can either charge it to your room or use a cashless payment method (credit card, etc.).

2. Cancellations and Postponements

Cancellations due to customer circumstances

・Before 6:00 PM the day before: No charge.

・After 6:00 PM the day before, or no-show on the day: 100% of the tour fee will be charged. ・You cannot participate if you are late for the start time for any reason, including traffic or poor health.

・This will be treated as a same-day cancellation, except in cases of public transportation service suspension.

Regarding Hakkoda Ropeway suspensions

As an alternative, we will offer Course B: The beautiful beech forest using the Hakkoda Kokusai Ski Resort lifts.

・If the ropeway suspension is decided before the hotel departure: A same-day cancellation is possible at no charge.

・If the suspension is decided after the hotel departure: No refund will be given.

Course changes or cancellations made by the organizer

・The tour may be canceled or the content changed if safe operation is deemed difficult due to weather or natural conditions (e.g., snow accumulation, strong winds, road conditions).

・In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified by phone or at the local counter.

・No cancellation fee will be incurred if the cancellation is due to organizer circumstances.

・ Please be aware that due to traffic or Hakkoda Ropeway congestion, the time spent at the location may be shortened, or there may be delays in arrival time.

3. Participation in the Tour

Attire and Equipment

・Please wear clothing appropriate for a winter mountain environment, such as warm layers, gloves, a hat, and snow boots.

・Rental gear, including winter wear, is available at "Restaurant Hakkoda" next to the Hakkoda Ropeway base station.

Items and Costs

・Please prepare the exact change for the ropeway fees: 1,400 JPY for a one-way ticket and 2,200 JPY for a round-trip ticket.

・Please prepare your own funds for necessary expenses during your free time at the location (food, drinks, ropeway tickets, etc.). Since some shops only accept cash, we recommend bringing some with you.

Tour Details and Notes

・This tour takes place in a natural environment. To ensure your safety, please follow all instructions from your guide.

・We are not responsible for accidents or injuries during the tour, except in cases of gross negligence on our part.

・You may leave the tour midway at the Hakkoda Ropeway station. If you wish to do so, please inform a staff member at check-in.

・Please note: It is not possible to use the return trip (Hakkoda Mountain → Hotel) only.

・During peak congestion, there may be a waiting time of 1-2 hours to board the ropeway.

4. Other

・The "juhyo" (snow monsters) can typically be seen near the summit from late December to around February.

・However, if the ropeway is suspended, you cannot go to the summit and will not be able to see the juhyo.

・The Hakkoda Ropeway is expected to be extremely crowded during peak seasons such as the year-end/New Year holidays, Chinese New Year (February 15-22), and weekends in the dead of winter.

・Due to ropeway congestion during the Chinese New Year period (February 15-22), the tour will be operated as Course B, which does not use the ropeway. If you wish to see the juhyo, please use the "Hakkoda-san Shuttle" on your own.
