Rice school

You can experience everything from rice planting to harvesting to cooking and eating in a hagama. You can experience rice cultivation by hand.
At pre-study, you will think about how much rice you eat a day and how many rice fields are near your home. The predicted contents will be compared with the staff talking on the day of the rice school, so that you can learn about the current situation of rice and rice fields.
From May to October, participants will experience rice planting, harvesting, and threshing and milling. After each session, you can cook rice in a hagama using a traditional rice cooker and make rice balls. You will experience the taste of rice and meals prepared with time and effort.
At the end of the program, the harvested rice is shipped to the participants' homes. They can look back on their experience at the rice school and eat the rice they grew.
