The Main Lounge features a glass partition where hexagonal patterns and spheres resonate. This design captures the "timeless sensation" the designer felt at the Former Nara Prison. Complementing the iconic hexagonal architecture, the spheres evoke a sense of drifting through space and time. Interwoven with translucent light, it elegantly defines a private space.
Two iconic artworks grace the main lounge, expressing the millennium-old origins of Nara. The mural "Painting of Japan - Small Basin Universe" recalls the vast lake of the ancient Nara Basin embracing continental culture. In front, "Shifting Ridges," carved from local camphor wood, visualizes Nara's mountains as a single living organism. These layered artworks profoundly touch the essence of Nara.
