    Just as in hanami, the ancient custom where one can enjoy the fragrance of flowers, the KAI Enshu style of hanami offers the opportunity to drink three types of tea, each with splendid aromas, bringing you the warmth of spring.

    The specialty of Shincha (tea made from the first harvest of the year) is that its flavors are stored up during the harsh cold of the winter and it contains the fresh aroma of young leaves. You will be able to compare the rich flavor of Shincha with tea harvested in summer or autumn.

    Held every evening, this activity introduces guests to the richness of Japanese teas. The teas available change depending on the season.

    We prepare a tasting event of Kawane tea, which has a refreshing, summery taste, as well as brown-rice tea and deep-steamed tea (fukamushicha).

    Aged Honyama tea is said to have been a favorite drink of Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu. This tea is stored in a warehouse over the summer at an altitude of 1,200 meters, just like during the Tokugawa era.You will enjoy its mellow taste.

    Hamamatsu Castle, the residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu, is also called “Promotion Castle”. Perhaps enjoying a full cup of Honyama tea, which was a favorite of Lord Ieyasu and drunk by generations of lords of Hamamatsu Castle, will bring good luck to you too.

    We offer highly therapeutic massages by nationally certified staff. After bathing, blood circulation is improved and the body can relax more easily. A massage before dinner also helps with digestion.
