Teramachi Morning Walk

Soothing the Mind
OMO Ranger will guide you to the morning service held at Honno-ji Temple. Experience a serene moment in the Sanjo area, full of bustling energy during the day.
Honno-ji Temple, renowned as the place where Oda Nobunaga met his end. Its powerful and dignified atmosphere in the early morning is the epitome of tranquility. After purifying your mind through sutra chanting, you will receive a special Goshuin (temple stamp) exclusive to tour participants.
Enjoy an OMO original beverage made with Chidori Vinegar from "Murayama Zousu," a long-established vinegar brewery founded in the Edo period whose products are used by high-end traditional restaurants in Kyoto. The refreshing acidity of the vinegar revitalizes your body after the morning visit and helps recover from fatigue caused by the Kyoto summer heat.
To accompany your early morning visit, each of the three facilities rents out traditional tools that local Kyoto people use in their daily lives to stay cool. These uniquely Kyoto items—such as summer fans that bring visual coolness and Kyoto candies perfect for salt replenishment—will support your summer morning activities.
