OMO5 Kyoto Sanjo's “OMO Cafe & Bar” offers the “Hassun Sweets Plate” inspired by “Hassun,” a set of drinks and dried sweets, under the concept of “Ippuku Issen : Wa no Omotenashi. Please feel free to enjoy your meal at your leisure, or just take a quick bite.
The Sweets Plate “Hassun“
The “Sweets Plate Hassun” features a total of six types of sweets, including matcha pistachio cake with matcha bean paste from “Yamanashi Seian”, refreshing tomato strawberry tart and black bean cassis chocolate. Inspired by the “hassun” of kaiseki cuisine, the menu expresses a time of relaxation between the host and his/her guests. The blue bowls are inspired by the Takase River and made by the Soboku Kiln in Gojo, Kiyomizu. The coloring of the dishes evokes the flow of the river, providing a café experience that can be enjoyed in both space and story.
The One Brew, One Cup Set
The “One Brew, One Cup Set” includes a cup of matcha or coffee and a dry confectionary for the one-coin price of 500 yen. The matcha is from the long-established Ryuoen Tea Shop, the coffee is a blend with a traditional taste certified as a Kyoto brand food by Ogawa Coffee, and the dry confections are from Nijo Wakasaya. The menu is perfect for those who want to relax or enjoy a quick bite while experiencing the history of the cafe.
