Furoshiki Room
Furoshiki Room
A guest room enveloped in Furoshiki
The "Furoshiki Room," limited to one booking per day, was created in collaboration with the furoshiki specialty store "Musubi" under the theme of "Furoshiki in daily life, Furoshiki with a new sensibility." It allows guests to enjoy the charms of colorful furoshiki as a new way to utilize them and as art throughout their stay.
Highlights of the "Furoshiki Room"
1. A space enveloped in furoshiki
The Furoshiki Room is decorated with colorful furoshiki applied to the ceiling, walls, cushion covers, and more. Guests can discover new ways to use furoshiki, learn how to use them from the in-room pamphlet, and take them home afterwards.
2. Furoshiki Sweets Set
The "Furoshiki Sweets Set" features dried sweets (higashi) from Nijo Wakasaya, wrapped in a furoshiki with a glamorous OMO logo design. It also comes with OMO's original Uji Sencha green tea. The furoshiki can be reused in daily life as a bag or tissue box cover.
3. OMO × Musubi Original Furoshiki
Inspired by Kyoto's culture of cherishing the four seasons, the OMO logo furoshiki is available in four seasonal color variations. The large 100cm x 100cm size is perfect for use as an eco-bag, clothing storage, or wrapping souvenirs.
*Sold at the OMO5 Kyoto Sanjo 1F SHOP / Price: JPY3,300 (tax included)
4. Furoshiki Craft Set
Guests can experience making a hair tie or a can badge using scrap fabric generated during furoshiki production. This is part of Musubi's eco-friendly activities and is also offered at OMO5 Kyoto Sanjo. Guests can choose a pattern from the colorful furoshiki scraps, create their own original item, and take it home as a souvenir.
