Uji stay

The program makes full use of Okinawa's sugarcane(Uji), including making products and meals born in Okinawa.

Dye with sugarcane leaves

Uji dyeing is one of the techniques used to dye plants and trees in Okinawa. The leaves are boiled in a pot and then used to dye a stole made from sugarcane(Uji) fibers. The color changes as the tree grows, and in winter, it turns a soft green.

Savor at the source

Dinner is a hot pot with seasonal vegetables made with brown sugar, which is produced immediately after harvest. The addition of brown sugar enhances the richness and depth of flavor. You enjoy the bounty of Okinawa and its seasonal ingredients.

Make full use of resources

When making brown sugar from sugar cane, the pomace is usually discarded. We use the pomace to make paper and create original postcards. You can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful time while experiencing the wisdom of our predecessors.
