Spring in "Urizun," enveloped in a Gentle Breeze

The Most Pleasant Season of the Year

In Okinawa, the refreshing spring season from March to April is known as "Urizun". This time of year is marked by the traditional "Hamauri" festival on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month, a day to pray for women's health. Hoshinoya Okinawa invites you to relax amidst lush greenery and colorful blossoms while surrendering to the gentle spring breeze.

Hamauri (Cleansing at the Shore)

A traditional event held on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month to pray for women's health. It is customary to bring heavy boxes of food to the beach and purify oneself by dipping hands and feet into the seawater.
